A thin and long plot offers the opportunity to create a modest but engaging glass face for the city to look at, amidst the monotony and uninspiring morass of the surrounding commercial architecture. A square grid of structural glazing is turned 45 degrees to form the skin of the building, The Padovan sequence of 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5… is used to calibrate the translucent and transparent bands of the resultant grid, allowing the skin to close-up more on the South, South-West faces, while enjoying near full transparence on the East and the North. The alternating bands also provide a musical syncopation of sorts, regular yet calibrated.

The dia-grid carries into the landscape flooring and planters and the articulation of the metal railings of the boundary wall.

The office interiors are envisioned as an all white open-plan All furniture including the workstations and internal partitions are to be entirely in glass and steel. The entire services are proposed to run through stainless steel raceways embedded in the flooring, the flooring itself based on the grid of the workstations. The idea is to create a futuristic office space both inside and outside.
